should I meditate? |
Meditation is one of the most powerful
tools there is to help us access our body's inner
intelligence and restore its natural balance and harmony.
In meditation, we tap into the inner silence in our
mind and make it part of our daily life. Silence is
the birthplace of happiness. It is where we get our
bursts of inspiration, our tender feelings of compassion,
our sense of love. Meditation is a journey to freedom

What
is Primordial Sound Meditation? |
Primordial Sound Meditation is
a very exact form of meditation. It uses specific
sounds called mantras which help our awareness settle
down to quieter, more peaceful levels. These individually
selected mantras act as a vehicle to reconnect our
lives with the universal life force or Spirit that
flows through all creation. |
What
are the benefits of meditation? |
By reducing stress and fatigue,
meditation allows us to regain a sense of purpose
and focus in our life. As our true potential unfolds,
energy, contentment and well being return to our lives.
There is a misconception that we meditate to escape;
in fact, it's quite the opposite. The goal of meditation
is to enrich every aspect of our daily living. |
What
are "Primordial Sounds"? |
Primordial Sounds are the basic,
most essential sounds of nature, like the sound of
the wind or the rain. They are sounds in their purest
form. The specific sounds which are used in Primordial
Sound Meditation are mantras. We use these mantras
to silently take our awareness away from the busy
activity of the mind, thus calming and soothing mind,
body and soul. |
How
are these mantras selected? |
At its most subtle level, everything
in creation is sound or vibration. The universe also
has its own vibration which changes periodically during
the cycle of the moon. In Primordial Sound Meditation,
we use the ancient system of Vedic mathematics to
identify the sound or vibration of the universe at
our time of birth. This was the moment when our awareness
became completely localized into our individual body.
When used in meditation as part of our mantra, this
sound has the effect of reconnecting our awareness
with the universal aspect of our lives. |
How
will meditation affect my health? |
Today doctors are increasingly
citing stress as a major factor in most illnesses.
Even though meditation should not be considered a
cure by itself, research has shown it to be beneficial
for a wide range of health problems. As stress is
gradually eliminated through Primordial Sound Meditation,
our minds and bodies begin to function with maximum
effectiveness, creating health, vitality and happiness.
